1. Who can use GlobeSlam

You must be at least 13 years old to use GlobeSlam. If you are in a jurisdiction with a different minimum age of digital consent, you must meet that threshold. If you sign in using a magic-link email, you will be asked to confirm you are 13 or older before your account is created.

GlobeSlam is a consumer product intended for general audiences. It is not directed at children and is not designed as a classroom or educational product.

2. Your account

You can play GlobeSlam anonymously or with a signed-in account via Google, Apple, or magic-link email. When you sign in, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, submit fraudulent scores, harass other players, or abuse the Game in any way. Deletion is at our discretion and does not create a refund obligation (the Game is currently free).

You may delete your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy, Section 7, for how.

3. Acceptable use

When using GlobeSlam, you agree to:

• Play fairly. Do not use bots, scripts, automation, inspection tools, or modified clients to submit scores. Do not exploit bugs to inflate leaderboard position. Do not circumvent the one-daily-submission-per-account rule.
• Be civil in chat. Do not use in-game chat to harass, threaten, impersonate, or send hateful, sexually explicit, or illegal content. Chat is a courtesy feature; we can remove it or mute accounts that misuse it.
• Respect other players. Do not attempt to identify, dox, or contact other players outside the Game without their consent.
• Respect our infrastructure. Do not scrape, crawl, or overload the Game. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer the server or access other players' data. Do not probe for vulnerabilities without telling us first.
• Pick appropriate display names and avatars. Display names and avatars containing slurs, sexual content, real-world threats, or someone else's personal information may be changed or reset without notice.

We reserve the right to invalidate scores, remove leaderboard entries, or ban accounts that break these rules. We prefer a manual-review posture over automated bans.

4. Your content

GlobeSlam is not a user-generated-content platform. The "content" you produce while using GlobeSlam is limited to: your display name, avatar emoji, chat messages during multiplayer rooms, feedback submissions, and the guesses you place on the globe. By submitting any of this content, you confirm that:

• You have the right to submit it.
• You are not posting anything illegal, infringing, or harmful.
• You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display your content as needed to operate the Game — for example, showing your name on a leaderboard, rendering your guesses in a multiplayer room, or quoting your feedback internally to fix bugs.

You retain ownership of your content. We do not claim rights beyond what is needed to run GlobeSlam.

5. Our content

All code, graphics, globe textures, city databases, question prompts, logos, copy, and designs in GlobeSlam are owned by EBDog or licensed to us. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play the Game for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of GlobeSlam without our written permission.

Some third-party components are used under open licenses: Globe.gl, three-globe, Firebase, Natural Earth map data, Cloudflare, EmailJS, Space Grotesk font. Their licenses govern their use.

6. Sharing scores

GlobeSlam includes features that let you share your daily score, a multiplayer room invite, or a "Challenge a Friend" card. When you share, the recipient sees the content you chose to share. We do not post anything on your behalf without your action.

7. Beta software

GlobeSlam is actively developed. Features may change, break, or disappear. Daily leaderboards may be reset if we detect corruption or fraud. The Game is provided "as is" with no uptime guarantee. We do our best, but we are a small operation.

9. Third-party services

GlobeSlam relies on third-party services (Google Firebase, Cloudflare, EmailJS, and our sign-in providers). Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and privacy policies. Outages or changes in those services may affect GlobeSlam. We are not responsible for third-party conduct.

10. Changes to the Game and to these Terms

We may change the Game at any time — add features, remove features, change scoring, rebalance difficulty, reset leaderboards, or discontinue the Game entirely. We may also update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the Last updated date above and, for signed-in users, post a notice in the Game the next time you open it. Continuing to use the Game after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Game at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to any account for violation of these Terms, fraudulent behavior, or abuse of the Game or other players. Upon termination, your right to use GlobeSlam ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, governing law) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Game will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
